Melchor Hernandez(Operations Manager)

Melchor Hernandez is a Lotus Hotels Operations Manager at Hampton Inn in Union City, California. He is responsible for overseeing production and ensuring that the operations run efficiently. He is a dedicated manager and effective leader who excels at using proven methods and technology to successfully manage cost, streamline operations and increase productivity. Mel is assertive and enthusiastic in all that he does. He has extensive knowledge of process optimization and an unsurpassed work ethic.

Melchor Hernandez was born in Michoacan, Mexico and migrated to the United States in 2002 when he was 16 years old. He has been in California since 2012, where he launched his career. He began working in construction, landscaping and restaurants. With hard work, he received his first hospitality position in October 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel in Livermore, California where he started as a houseman. Within 3 months the company promoted him and eventually gave him the title of Operations Manager.

In December 2013, Mel joined Lotus Hotels at their newly opened Hampton Inn in Union City as an Operations Manager. He has since begun managing different hotels within the company, as an Operations Managers at the Holiday Inn Express in Union City and later at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Pittsburg, California. Mel genuinely believes in leading by example.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children and appreciate opportunities to learn and mentor others.
